France Named Europe's Economic Attractiveness Champion for Fifth Year in a Row
Paris, May 2, 2024 – EY has published its 2024 France Attractiveness Survey, which annually tracks foreign investment projects across Europe and evaluates perceptions of France among economic decision-makers. The survey assesses both actual and perceived economic attractiveness, comparing major European countries.


Italian DOP-IGP Labels: €25M for Promoting Quality Food Sectors
A decree, jointly presented by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and the consortium "Origin Italia" (an association dedicated to protecting Italian DOP-IGP labels, equivalent to French AOC-AOP and IGP labels), allocates €25 million to promote DOP-IGP products both nationally and internationally, as well as measures supporting sustainable development.

In 2022, the Italian cosmetics market was valued at €13.3 billion, a 12.1% increase from 2021. The sector has proven more resilient to inflation compared to others, with consumer prices for cosmetics rising only 3.5-4% annually (as of January 2023), compared to an overall average increase of 8.5%.
The Cosmetics Market in Germany
With a revenue of €15.1 billion in 2022 (+5.4% compared to 2021), Germany remains the largest cosmetics market in Europe, ahead of France. In 2022, the German cosmetics and personal care industry generated €6.1 billion in revenue. Domestic cosmetic manufacturers earned €3.5 billion, which is €0.9 billion more than the revenue of German manufacturers outside the federal state (€2.6 billion).
